Your Purpose
Your Impact
Consults on a regular basis with the 1st Electro-Technical Officer concerning methods and procedures for the maintenance and upkeep of the electrical equipment.
Consistently monitors, controls and troubleshoots all electrical equipment and systems machinery equipment as directed by the First Electro-Technical Officer.
Immediately reports all electrical equipment damage or malfunction to the First Electro-Technical Officer.
Assign daily maintenance and repair duties to junior members of the electrical department and actively supervise team members in the performing of these duties.
The 3rd Electro-Technical Officer is responsible for assisting the 2nd Electro-Technical Officer in the repairs and maintenance of the following systems: a) Main Engines - To include routine safety shutdown tests b) Safety Systems - To include Fire detection, ESD, WTD, lifeboats etc. c) Elevators - Including weekly safety checks d) Engine auxiliary systems - Including Purifiers, Temperature control valves etc. e) Engine room general systems - To include Waste Water Treatment systems, Evaporators etc. f) General Hotel systems – To include automatic doors, UPS etc. g) Passenger/crew accommodation – Including cabin automation h) Bridge Systems – As directed and in collaboration with the 1st Electro-Technical Officer
Ensures that all work is completed to such a standard as to reduce, where possible, future failures.
Works closely with the Senior Technical Storekeeper to ensure sufficient stock of spare parts and consumables is held on board to cover planned and unplanned maintenance at all times
Ensure that all assigned maintenance and repairs are entered into InfoSHIP detailing all repairs and parts used. The entries must also include the required test results.
Always operate with the full consideration for the comfort of Guests.
Works Closely with the Facility manager in order to ensure all repair orders are completed in a timely manner
Assist IT System Manager where required in order to execute cyber risk assessments and implement risk mitigation measures and treatment plans. Responsible for Incident Response and Management onboard on IT and OT systems. Responsible to inform the SSO of cyber incidents that may impact Safety.

• A good standard of interpersonal and public relations with Guests at all levels.IT/Equipment expertise Computer literacy and ability to operate office equipment.Basic Windows based programs knowledge.Language Capability Fluent in oral and written English (working and Safety language of the Company) Explora Fleet English Level: B2. Ability to speak, read and write in Italian is a major benefit and may be a requirement. Ability to speak, read and write in any major other languages is considered a major advantage.
