Your Purpose

The Assistant Maître D’Hotel supervises all Dining Service Team members in order to provide excellent service to Guests.

Your Impact

• Controls all restaurant service stations are clean and the mise en place is correct before and after every service.

• Controls the daily work of Dining Service Crew in the assigned restaurant.

• Handles and resolves Guest complaints regarding dining quality and service.

• Supports the Maître D’Hotel in cost control responsibilities through close monitoring of the inventory.

• Assists the Maître D’Hotel, ensuring compliance with quality and sanitation standards and procedures in all restaurants, crew mess rooms and room service.

• Supervise and monitor the correct application of food safety procedures and food quality requirements related to all processes.

Your Journey So Far

• Education within hotel/catering industry or equivalent experience in 4- or 5-star restaurant, hotel or resort.

• Intermediate knowledge on food safety.

• Good management and organization skills.

• Interpersonal and communication skills.

• Passion about hospitality and customer service driven.

• Cruise industry experience is an advantage.

• Proficiency in Computers. Microsoft programs to include but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel.

• Fluent in written and spoken English. Any additional European language is considered an advantage.

Your Essentials

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.

• Food Safety/HACCP certificate.
