ASTO Assistant Storekeeper

Your Purpose

The Assistant Storekeeper receives and stores all goods and helps the Storekeeper in supervising and monitoring stock inventory and provisions.

Your Impact

• Maintain par levels of all items and ensures no supplies are exhausted or left at zero level.

• Assume full responsibility of the warehouse or storage space.

• Checks on the integrity of the loaded materials, ensures that the typology of all items delivered and landed match exactly to the product technical data sheet and the quantities.

• Store, arrange and secure all incoming provisions.

• Report discrepancy if any to the Provision Master/Hotel Controller.

• Issuing items as per requisition and schedule to respective departments and handing the requisitions back to Provision Master/Hotel Controller.

• Conduct inventory checks as per schedule and provides to the management completed and detailed stock inventory.

• Responsible to have balanced stores and accurate inventories at all times.

• Follow and understands the company’s and the Marine reserve environmental policies, rules and regulations.

• Correctly apply the food safety procedures and food quality requirements related to all processes.

• Maintain all locations under responsibility in good working order and report any maintenance issue that may occur.

Your Journey So Far

• Previous relevant experience in a similar role.

• Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.

• Basic knowledge on food safety

• Able to lift and move up weights.

• Able to check, organize, count stock and prepare inventories.

• Passionate about hospitality and customer service driven.

• Ability to work in hot environment.

• Sound knowledge of computer-based inventory systems. Knowledge of Microsoft programs to include but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Your Essentials

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.

• Food Safety/HACCP certificate.
