FINO Financial Officer

Your Purpose

This is a strategic position requiring strong accounting, analytical and managerial skills. The Financial Officer is responsible for all onboard financial operations, with direct hierarchical reporting to the General Manager. The Financial Officer ensures the correct management of the onboard financial processes and analysis.

Your Impact

• Coordinates the correct management of all finance related activities onboard.

• Manages cash assets in compliance with Company Standards and Procedures. This includes permanent and temporary float holders, cash deliveries and disembarkations, cash declarations to authorities, local cash purchases, host cash machine.

• Verifies that all the accounting entries are managed in compliance with Company Standards and Procedures, and immediately reports any non-compliance to the General Manager and shoreside offices (COBF department). This includes charges, voids, discounts, company accounts, onboard credits, taxes, periodic audits.

• Is responsible for all Guests, Hosts, Groups, Visitors, System Accounts folios management and balance. This includes cash transactions and electronic transactions.

• Provides training and assistance to the team regarding financial matters and onboard revenue. This includes all direct reports listed above, and also Guest Services, People Services, Destination Experiences, Galleria d’Arte, FandB revenue outlets.

• Administrates contracted guests (entertainers): ShipMoney registration, expenses, sales.

• Acts as primary helper and is involved in ensuring all clearance requirements are met.

• Actions any guest feedback in a timely manner and genuinely connects with internal and external customers, as an advocate of the Ocean State Of Mind.

Your Journey So Far

• A minimum of 4-years’ experience in the position with diverse luxury hospitality and/ or luxury cruise lines.

• Previous experience in Start Ups/Pre-openings is an advantage.

• Excellent communication and customer care skills.

• Problem solving skills. Ability to work independently.

• Proficient in Computers. Knowledge of Microsoft programs to include but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel.

• Knowledge of Fidelio/Otalio Cruise System and POS systems is an advantage.

•  Proficient in English. Any additional European language is considered an advantage (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish and French).

• Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.
