Sr. Analyst - Casino Database

Your Purpose
This position is responsible for maximizing net revenue and margins from the casino database by driving incremental and profitable sailings from known casino guests. The role will manage and collaborate with other depts to improve the quality of the Casino database and to create targeted direct and email campaigns, reports and analyses to inform our marketing strategies. The analyst will be an expert in the Casino customer data and relevant KPIs to provide insights of past performance and drive future decisions and be an instrumental role in developing, launching, and supporting a Casino Loyalty Program. The success of this role will be measured by growth in Casino bookings and the associated Net Gaming Revenue.
Your Impact
- Transform data into insights, make strategic recommendations with a holistic commercial approach, and communicate effectively to leadership to get buy-in
- Build out and automate reports and dashboards to monitor the behavior and profitability of various Casino segments
- Evaluate expected reinvestment to pull lists for email and direct mail campaigns
- Segment casino marketing database to maximize profitability of targeted player groups, identify drivers of repeat visitation and individual guest preference and incorporate in to DM/EM campaigns, and constantly develop and trial ways to increase trip frequency and spend amongst past and potential guests
- Collaborate with team to develop database marketing promotions, guest retention strategies, and special events in order to drive higher engagement and response rates from guests, ultimately increase visitation from all guest segments
- Delivers insightful and timely post-analysis of all campaigns
- Construct A/B tests and report on incrementality and statistical significance
- Submit creative briefs to Marketing department with ship, sailings, and offer information
- Work closely with Director of Casino Loyalty on launch of new loyalty program and marketing initiatives to database of loyalty members
- Analyze behavior and spend of Casino Loyalty Program participants and recommend enhancements and creative offerings to appeal across multiple guest segments
- Create and maintain a Casino marketing calendar and campaign status tracker
- Partner with CRM and Business Intelligence teams to assist with data questions; perform data forensics and data hygiene tasks as needed
- Proactively recommend process improvements and take initiative to create new views that will help evaluate the business
- Champion relentlessly for optimal internal costs by developing revenue models to showcase net positive impact to operating income of casino customers
- Explore and analyze external sources to expand casino database
- Partner with Shipboard Operations, IT, and Analytics to constantly improve quantity and quality of casino database

Your Journey so far
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or similar background
- 3+ years of work experience in marketing or CRM analytics
- Business/financial planning and analysis experience preferred.
- Understanding of database design and information systems, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools
- Strong proficiency in query/reporting tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server, MS Access, or Hyperion.
- Strong proficiency in visualization tools, such as Power BI (preferred) or Tableau
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel – comfortable using advanced formulas and maintaining large spreadsheets with high level of accuracy; experience with macros a plus
- Experience manipulating large volumes of data from various sources and creating output files for various processes
- The individual must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of organization
- Understanding of the business in order to validate findings and conclusions and ensure data integrity and accuracy at all times
- Facilitate meetings and present solutions to issues with groups while dealing with variety of variables in situations where no standardization exists.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly
- Knowledge of statistics and predictive behavior modeling
- Ability to respond to inquiries from other departments, customers, or members of the business community Leadership skills to proactively institute financial discipline.
