Your Impact

You will play a key role in maintaining the functionality and reliability of our ship’s engine spaces. By closely following the instructions of the Engine Officer Chief Watch, you will ensure adherence to high standards in watchkeeping, maintenance, and cleanliness. Your support in maintaining and cleaning machinery and spaces will directly influence the ship’s operational success, providing a smooth journey for both crew and passengers. Additionally, your commitment to safety practices will uphold the company’s values of safeguarding everyone on board. 

Your Journey So Far

To join our team as an Oiler, you bring a combination of skills, certifications, and experience that set you apart: 

Intermediate oral and written English skills to effectively communicate in the working and safety language of the company. 

Completion of Basic Safety Training, including Advanced Firefighting certification. 

Proven competence in swimming and rowing for emergency preparedness. 

Familiarity with the responsibilities of assisting Engine Officers or Foremen in maintaining and cleaning machinery spaces and machinery. 

Prior experience in engine room watchkeeping and machinery maintenance is a strong advantage.
