Director, Talent Acquisition

Your Purpose

MSC Cruises, the world’s third-largest cruise brand continues to expand its shoreside operations in the United States and is seeking a Talent Acquisition Director to lead our recruitment function. This individual will build and execute a talent strategy focused on measurable impact, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.


Reporting into the senior HR leadership team and working closely with Corporate HQ in Geneva, the Director will oversee end-to-end TA operations, implement scalable systems, and enable recruiting excellence across the US shoreside organization and MSC’s private island, Ocean Cay.

 

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office, in Miami. 

Your Impact

Strategic Talent Acquisition Leadership

  • Develop and execute the U.S. shoreside recruiting strategy aligned with MSC Cruises’ business objectives and growth plans. 
  • Lead recruiting strategy at all levels with a heavy emphasis on both executive (VP+) and hourly / high volume hiring
  • Serve as the key advisor to business leaders on current and future hiring needs, workforce planning, and talent pipeline development.

 

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing TA team, fostering a culture of ownership, performance, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs, compensation, finance, and business unit leaders to support workforce planning and budget alignment.
  • Hold the TA team accountable for tracking KPIs, meeting targeted hire-by deadlines, embracing new processes and full utilization of available systems

 

Data-Driven Recruiting Operations

  • Build and own robust recruiting dashboards to track KPIs (time-to-fill, source of hire, candidate quality, DEI metrics, etc.) and optimize performance.
  • Use talent analytics to forecast hiring demand, monitor trends, identify bottlenecks, and inform executive-level reporting.
  • Benchmark internal and external talent pipelines, compensation trends, and market competitiveness to inform hiring strategy.

 

Systems, Tools & Process Optimization

  • Support ongoing adoption of new global applicant tracking systems (ATS) to ensure the investment is fully utilized and its reporting capabilities are optimized
  • Establish standardized, repeatable hiring workflows, SLAs, and interview processes across all business units.
  • Integrate structured evaluation criteria to ensure consistent and unbiased hiring decisions while elevating talent quality across the organization by aligning with succession planning goals and proactively building a pipeline of future leaders.

 

Candidate Experience & Employer Brand

  • Elevate the end-to-end candidate journey—from first contact to onboarding—ensuring a best-in-class and inclusive experience.
  • Partner with marketing and communications to amplify MSC Cruises’ employer brand, leveraging data and campaign performance analytics.
  • Represent MSC Cruises at talent conferences, industry events, and recruitment fairs as a brand ambassador.

Your Journey so far

  • 10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership or strategic capacity, with a track record of building and scaling high-performing TA functions in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Extensive experience in executive and leadership hiring, with a demonstrated ability to attract, assess, and close senior-level talent across a range of disciplines
  • Proven expertise in designing and leading enterprise-wide recruiting strategies, balancing long-term workforce planning with near-term hiring priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in talent data and analytics, including building and managing custom dashboards, interpreting trends, and leveraging data to drive decisions, forecast hiring needs, and measure ROI of recruiting initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of ATS and CRM systems with a history of leading integrations and workflow optimization to enhance recruiter productivity and candidate experience.
  • Process-driven mindset, with demonstrated success in standardizing hiring workflows, enhancing compliance, and embedding structured interview practices that reduce bias and improve hiring quality.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership, influence, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to partner with senior executives, HR, and business leaders to align talent acquisition with organizational goals.
